Springbank Secondary College SA
Springbank Secondary College is a new entity that has emerged from the strong foundations and histories of Daws Road High School and Pasadena High School following a significant renewal and redesign process.
One of our Year 7 students has been busy working on a hands-on project to revamp and restore 2 of our school’s bench seats.
The project has involved carefully removing the existing planks, sanding and preparing the timber, and putting the planks back together using a range of different tools and equipment.
This practical project has been a great opportunity to develop hands-on skills, problem-solving, tool safety and an understanding of the different stages involved in restoring and maintaining school facilities. We look forward to seeing the finished result! 👏
This term our Year 8 Intensive Support students have been exploring global cultures in HASS, learning about China, Nepal, and Nigeria. Learning was hands-on and delicious! Highlights included cooking up traditional dishes like stir fry and Jollof rice, alongside learning the mindful art of Tai Chi. It has been a wonderful term of practical learning, discovery and new skills.
