Springbank Secondary College SA
Springbank Secondary College is a new entity that has emerged from the strong foundations and histories of Daws Road High School and Pasadena High School following a significant renewal and redesign process.
This semester in Year 8 HPE, students have been working through a unit on modified games. Students have enjoyed participating in a range of modified games that incorporate equipment, rules and skills from various sports.
For the theory portion of this unit, the class are currently completing an assignment where they are required to create their own modified game. This includes providing a list of rules, equipment, diagrams and modifications to ensure their game promotes inclusivity, teamwork, participation and fair-play.
Students will submit an information pack on their game and have the opportunity to teach it to the class at the end of the unit, if they wish to do so.
