Principal’s Welcome

Emerging from the strong foundations of Daws Road High School and Pasadena High School, Springbank Secondary College opened in February 2019 following a significant renewal and redesign. This work marked the beginning of a new chapter in education at this site; one shaped by contemporary learning, strong community connections, and a clear focus on student success.

At Springbank, we believe learning is most powerful when it connects with students’ interests and strengths. We provide engaging and challenging learning experiences that encourage young people to know themselves as learners, take risks, and pursue their goals with confidence. Supported by modern facilities and high-quality teaching, students are offered a broad range of authentic opportunities that prepare them for life beyond school.

Central to our approach is a strong sense of belonging. Students have the right to feel safe, connected, and valued, and we work deliberately to create a culture where respectful relationships and wellbeing underpin learning. Our community environment challenges and supports students to grow their skills, resilience, and independence.

Springbank is a closeknit community where students, staff, and families work together in partnership. Our strong links with community organisations enrich learning beyond the classroom, with programs such as Ice Factor and our Basketball program providing meaningful opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and a sense of civic responsibility.

We are proud to offer a wide range of pathways through the South Australian Certificate of Education, including Vocational Education and Training, nationally accredited courses, and schoolbased apprenticeships. At Springbank, we recognise that every young person is different, and that success and post school pathways look different for everyone, which is why we celebrate all pathways equally.

By personalising learning today, we are building confident, capable, and futurefocused citizens. Our positive, studentcentred culture encourages learners to step beyond their comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and imagine what’s possible. I invite you to explore our website to learn more about the Springbank learning community and to register your interest in a Principal’s Tour.
