Sporting activities play a vital role in the school life and curriculum at Springbank Secondary College. Our school actively participates in the Southern Zone competition of the Secondary School Sport SA. This provides an opportunity for our students to be involved in weekday competitions for a variety of sporting activities.
Sporting activities vary according to the season and also are arranged by year level grouping across the four school terms. Sports available within the Zone Sport Competition for Springbank Secondary College students will be determined by student nomination and team availability.
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Handball
- Ice Hockey (Ice Factor)
- Table Tennis
- Volleyball
- Indoor Soccer
These sports are available for both boys and girls. Supervision of our sports teams is provided by school staff and at times coaches employed by the school to assist with our sports program. Where students are playing matches at other schools in the competition, transport is arranged by the school.
The school is also involved in numerous carnivals and championships organised by Secondary School Sport SA and the Zone. Many of the zone carnivals are organised at our school because of its central location and facilities. Students are encouraged to participate and represent the school while meeting subject requirements.
