The Springbank Secondary College Governing Council and Finance Committee determine the yearly Materials and Services Charge based on regulations received from the Minister for Education.  Some subjects also attract a subject levy to cover the cost of consumables.

A Schedule of Charges will be sent home in January for the upcoming year to ensure that families can budget for the charge as soon as possible. The Materials and Services Charge can be paid the week before school commences in January; this is also a good time to apply for School Card.

Springbank Secondary College accepts payment by cash, cheque, direct debit, credit card (VISA or Mastercard) or online via our bank account. The school is also able to accommodate those families who wish to pay by instalments. Families paying by instalments are given until the last day of term two to have the Materials and Services Charges paid in full.

School Card - Families who may be entitled to school card benefits need to apply each and every year

The School Card Scheme provides assistance to low income families covering part of the Materials and Services Charge. The School Card Department pays this grant directly to the school. Parents need to provide yearly documentation in order to be approved. Springbank Secondary College staff do not have the authority to approve families for School Card, the School Card Section of the Department for Education does this. Springbank Secondary College staff will be able to offer information on School Card eligibility. Please contact the School Card Department on 1800 672 758 for further information or visit their website.

Stationery

Students will be issued with a Springbank Secondary College diary (year 7 and 8) and a padlock with a key in term one, the cost of which is covered by the Materials and Services Charge. All other stationery can be purchased from any retail outlet using the school supplied stationery list. See the lists below.
